Troubleshooting of electrically adjustable desks
The height of the desk can no longer be adjusted. What can I do?
First, try initialisation – in other words, a reset of the control unit.
First, ensure that the desk is supplied with power and that all cables are properly connected.
- Press and hold the down button on the manual switch until the desk has reached the lowest height. Release the down button.
- Press and hold the down button again until the LED display reads “RST”. Release the down button.
- Press and hold the down button again for several seconds until the desk lowers slightly and then raises slightly to a stop. Now release the down button.
- The desk is now configured and ready for use.

Incorrect height setting displayed, e.g. “64” at height “62”
Description: Incorrect display value.
Note:
Please check whether rolling under-desk cabinets or other solid objects under the desk are blocking the desk from reaching the lower end point. The desk features collision protection as standard, which automatically stops the desk and causes it to move in the opposite direction when it encounters an obstacle. This stop can mistakenly be interpreted as the desk having reached the end point. In this case, initialisation does not take place. Instead, the process must be repeated from the start.Troubleshooting steps:
- Please press the DOWN▼ button until this is shown on the display.
- Then press the M button until the height indicator flashes on the display.
- The height indicator can be corrected on the display using the UP▲ and DOWN▼ buttons.
- After a few seconds, the height indicator stops flashing.
- The desk can now be initialised by pressing the DOWN▼ button for approx. 5 seconds, until the desk has moved slightly down and up again.
- Only release the DOWN▼ button once the desk has stopped moving.
- Now, the desk is initialised and the height can be individually adjusted.
Note:
If, while moving the desk to the reference position, the operating buttons are released before the process is completed, the reference manoeuvre will be cancelled and the entire Initialisation process must be repeated.Display blank | Desk not moving
Description: The UP▲ and DOWN▼ buttons are not working. The manual switch may not be plugged in correctly.
Troubleshooting steps:
- Please check the plug connection.
- If the plug connection is correct, the manual switch may be defective. If necessary, you can perform a cross-check using a different manual switch, if you have one available (e.g. from another operational desk).
- If the problem persists, it is also possible that the control unit is defective. If necessary, perform a cross check (if possible with simple tools).
Error code “H01” | Desk not moving
Description: The maximum operation time of 2 minutes has elapsed or a temperature sensor has been triggered in the control unit.
Troubleshooting steps:
- Please refrain from pressing any buttons and leave the desk and control unit connected to the power supply!
Note: If another button is pressed immediately, the error code “H01” will reappear on the display and the desk will not move.
- After a rest time of approx. 3 minutes, approx. 20 seconds of operation time will once again become available. After a rest time of approx. 18 minutes, the desk can be operated for approx. 2 minutes.
- Once the necessary rest time has elapsed, the error code “H01” will disappear and the display will show the current height adjustment.
Note: The control unit calculates and saves the necessary rest times, even when disconnected from the power supply. This protective mechanism prevents overheating and damage to the motors.
Error code “E01” or “E02” | Desk not moving, or only partially
Description: Excess current on motor 1 or motor 2. This error usually occurs during the UP▲ operation of the desk.
Troubleshooting steps:
- There may be too much load on the desk or on part of the desk frame. Please reduce the weight on the desk.
- The error can also be caused by mechanical damage, such as a dent in the guide tubes of the lifting column or the side pieces.
Note: In the event of mechanical damage, the error usually occurs in the same position or at the same height on the desk frame. The damaged components (side pieces/lifting column) may need to be replaced. - Next, an Initialisation / Reset must be performed.
Error code “E07” or “E08” | Desk not moving
Description: Motor 1 or motor 2 not correctly connected.
Troubleshooting steps:
- Please check the cables and plug connections to the motors, and plug them in correctly, if needed.
- Please check the cables for damage. If the cable is damaged, the cable must be replaced and the desk, recommissioned.
- Next, the desk must be initialised.
- To perform the initialisation, please press the DOWN▼ button until this is shown on the display.
- Next, press the button again until the desk moves at half speed into the initialisation position, at the lowest end point of the desk. While doing so, hold the DOWN▼ button until all the drives have reached the lowest position. Only release the DOWN▼ button once the desk has stopped moving.
Instead, the process must be repeated from the start. - The desk can now be initialised by pressing the DOWN▼ button for approx. 5 seconds, until the desk has moved slightly down and up again. Only release the DOWN▼ button once the desk has stopped moving.
Note:
If, while moving the desk to the reference position, the operating buttons are released before the process is completed, the reference manoeuvre will be cancelled and the entire Initialisation process must be repeated. - Now, the desk is initialised and the height can be individually adjusted.

To lock/unlock the desk, press the M button again for 15 seconds until “LOC” appears on the display.
Initialisation / Performing a reset
First, ensure that the desk is supplied with power and that all cables are properly connected.
- Press and hold the down button on the manual switch until the desk has reached the lowest height. Release the down button.
- Press and hold the down button again until the LED display reads “RST”. Release the down button.
- Press and hold the down button again for several seconds until the desk lowers slightly and then raises slightly to a stop. Now release the down button.
