Personal organisation for flexible work
Increasing rents demand workplace solutions which allow each workstation to be used as efficiently as possible. “It is not just the desk itself that continues to lose its significance with the rise of bench solutions and project workstations,” says Günter Osterhaus, Head of Planning and Projects Management at Assmann Büromöbel. “The same desk will increasingly be used by multiple employees at different times. Trends reveal a need for flexible ways to organise personal work tools.” With this in mind, Assmann Büromöbel has created various containers that are specially designed for the needs of modern working styles and spaces. The company will present these innovations for the first time at ORGATEC 2016.
Working effectively, with structure, and an eye on objectives: pedestals with various fittings and design options can easily be moved to different workspaces. No matter where an employee works in the office, their personal work tools are always at their side thanks to the portable pedestal. The container is then moved back to the designated storage bay at the end of the day.
Assmann Büromöbel has designed the new Orgabox as a cheaper alternative to the comfortable pedestals, for use in desk sharing environments in conjunction with lockable storage units. The Orgabox can be used to store the tools needed for work. It is removed from the person's locker within the storage unit at the start of the working day and attached into a slider mechanism underneath the desktop at the chosen workstation. Once the shift is over, the Orgabox is simply returned to the locker.
The stationary open plan containers can offer more privacy in large offices with permanently assigned workstations. The inner carcass can be pulled out, for example alongside walkways, to create a small closed-off work or personal space, which employees very much appreciate. This especially applies to the standing-height containers. The open plan containers are also available at desk and sitting height. The interiors of each variation can be fitted as desired, from simple shelves to drawers, lockable containers, or seat cushions.
"In a time when the idea of having one's own desk is losing significance, personal storage is becoming increasingly important," explains Kersten Fischhöfer, Head of Marketing and Sales. "We take the need for personal space very seriously. We now also offer even greater choice with our new products, which at the same time remain true to Assmann Büromöbel's high-quality standards."
The planning data for all new pedestals and containers will be available right after ORGATEC 2016.
