ASSMANN consolidates its position as strong partner and reliable employer
Melle-based furniture manufacturer reports stable annual results for 2020
ASSMANN Büromöbel GmbH & Co. KG has consolidated its position both as a strong partner for specialist dealers and customers and as a reliable employer, despite the difficult economic circumstances. Headquartered in Melle, Germany, the family firm achieved revenue of around €118 million for the 2020 financial year. The drop in revenue in a year-on-year comparison is largely attributable to declining sales on the European market as a result of the pandemic. The number of staff also fell slightly during the same period, but regained its pre-coronavirus level over the past few months of this year.
“We are in a strong position to face the future thanks to hard work, consistent expansion of our product portfolio and our comprehensive provision of services and support”, says Dirk Assmann. He is therefore confident that the company can continue its positive development on the domestic market in the second half of 2021 and also build on its healthy international growth before the pandemic, despite all the corona-related difficulties of the market and its many challenges, particularly in terms of materials procurement and increased material costs. ASSMANN OFFICE FURNITUE LTD was founded last year to overcome the specific challenges related to Brexit in the United Kingdom. The furniture manufacturer had previously managed its UK business through its own sales subsidiary in London and expanded it continuously – with success. The United Kingdom is ASSMANN’s largest sales market outside of Germany.
